Accessibility statement for Microsoft Bookings

This accessibility statement applies to the Microsoft Bookings pages for Accessibility bookings, ASK online appointments, Book a Librarian, Languages EAP tutorials and Exeter Maths and stats tutorials. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability. Please also see our Assistive technology overview to find out more about the accessibility features in different programs, apps and devices.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • Lack of contrast within the web application
  • Resizing text some elements could lose meaning before 200% zoom
  • Screen readers may have some issues with parts of the page.

Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Falmouth Exeter Plus is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

  • Lack of contrast within the web application
  • Resizing text some elements could lose meaning before 200% zoom
  • Screen readers may have some issues with parts of the page.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

Disproportionate burden

We are therefore unable to fix the issues with lack of contrast (WCAG AA 1.4.3), Resizing of text WCAG AA 1.4.4), and wrong element type definition (WCAG A 4.1.2). We believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. We will make another assessment when the supplier contract is up for renewal, likely to be in [say when].

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

This section covers issues that we do not need to fix right now. The law calls these exemptions. There is nothing that falls within this category at present.

Third-party content

Our website contains third-party content. We do not have control over and are not responsible for the accessibility of this content, but we make best endeavours to work with the third party to improve its accessibility. This may include:

  • Links to external websites
  • Content/functionality on our website
  • Content hosted on other websites, such as social media sites.
