Privacy statement for processes on the LSS StudyHub website:

Overview 

If you have used the website to do any one of the above, this privacy notice provides information on how we use your personal data. 

The purpose of this notice is to explain how Falmouth Exeter Plus (FX Plus) – Learning Skills and Support Teams will collect and process your personal data. This notice also 

tells you which third parties we may share your personal data with. 

FX Plus is a data controller and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Officer as required under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. Falmouth Exeter Plus (FX Plus) will only process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR.

This notice will be reviewed annually to ensure continued compliance with current data protection legislation and to reflect best practice. 

By submitting a booking or by submitting feedback from the FXPlus Learning Skills and Support Teams you agree to FX Plus processing your personal data (including sensitive personal data), for the purposes and in the manner set out in this notice.

 

What personal data will be processed?  

The personal data we process is that which you provide to us. For booking onto language classes this will include your name, university email, institution, course and personal email if you are a member of the public and not a university student. For booking a 1:1 tutorial this will include your name, institution, university email and course. For giving feedback on your support this will be optional whether you provide your email, the name of your NMH and/ or their email. It is optional but you may submit data that discloses a condition that explains why you are receiving support. 

 

Why are you processing this personal data? 

We will process your personal data to enable you to book onto classes and provide feedback on your support. We will not use your data for any other purpose. 

 

What is your legal basis for this processing? 

Our lawful basis for processing your information is your consent, as evidenced by your completion of the booking or feedback form.

Will any data be shared with a third party? 

Your information will be used only by those staff who are running the classes and the manager of the Non-Medical Helpers. 

 

How long is my personal data kept by the University? 

We will continue to keep your data for one year. 

 

Does this page get updated? 

This privacy notice is effective from the 9th September 2020 and is reviewed annually.  

 

What you can do if you are unhappy with the way your data is being processed 

FX Plus is transparent about its processing of your personal data. However, if you have any 

queries about how FX Plus processes your personal data you should contact our Data 

Protection Officer by emailing dataprotection@fxplus.ac.uk  . 

If you think that any of your personal data held by Falmouth Exeter Plus is incorrect (for 

example if you change your contact details), please let us know so that we can update our 

records accordingly. 

 

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner (https://ico.org.uk ) if 

you are not satisfied with the handling of your personal data by FX Plus.
